Part One: From Haven To Home
I think that the purpose of the exhibit was to teach us about immigration since we are about to do a project about immigration. The people or race this exhibit focused on was the Jews. It shows the Jews immigrating from one place to another and how hard it was for them when they first arrived. I had found many things that are interesting in this exhibit and learned many things. I learned that Jerry Seinfeld, the comedian, is Jewish. I learned that the creator of Barbie is Jewish. One last thing I learned is a baseball player name Hauk Greenbery was the first Jewish baseball player and hit 58 home runs. Close to beating Babe Ruth's home runs which was 60.
Part Two: Children of Immigrants
The photograph I have chosen is in the middle of a city. It has people from different cultures and races greeting each other. The people didn't even know each other, they just went up to each other and gave them a friendly hug. This photograph has struck me because people don't do this in real life. They just walk by each other with a blank face showing no emotion. For most people you have a friendly conversation before you give a stranger a friendly hug. This photo shows that people can be that nice to other people even if they have different beliefs or skin color.
Quote: "The greatest thin I hope for in my life is to become a successful person and to have a family and friends to support me, not to be looked at by just any color of my skin but who I am inside"

I chose this because this can actually connect to everyone. This is almost every immigrants goal or desire. I agree with this because you shouldn't look down on people because of their skin color but based on their personality. To me this quote felt very strong and powerful because of the point it makes and how everyone can connect to this quote.
